A personalised pet blanket works differently on a sofa and a bed, so choose the design and size around the furniture rather than treating every surface as a generic rectangle. Sofas usually favour a more compact fold with the artwork visible in one area. Beds give larger designs and multi-pet layouts more room.
A blanket rarely lies completely flat on a sofa. Before ordering, imagine which part of the artwork will still be visible when one third is folded over an arm or tucked beside a cushion.
A centred headshot or strong single-pet composition is usually easier to display than artwork where important details sit close to every edge.
A bed provides more visual space, particularly for larger blankets. Multi-pet designs can work well because the artwork can be seen across a wider area without being compressed by several cushions.
Keep in mind that a personalised pet blanket is decorative homeware rather than fitted bedding. Measure the area you want it to cover before deciding whether medium or large makes sense.
If the sofa or bedding is already patterned, a cleaner pet portrait style may be easier to combine with it. If the room is neutral, stronger costume artwork or colour can become the focal point.
Our pet portrait style guide can help if you are choosing between understated and theatrical artwork.
One pet needs less visual space than three. For several pets, avoid a layout so wide that two animals vanish every time the blanket is folded. A slightly tighter group usually works better on practical homeware.

Furniture, regrettably, refuses to resize itself after checkout. Measuring remains the less exciting but more effective solution.
