Personalised Pet Pillow Proof Checklist: 8 Things to Check

Before approving a personalised pet pillow proof, check the pet’s likeness, crop and markings before worrying about decorative details. A cushion can be beautifully designed and still feel wrong if the eyes, ears or familiar expression are off.

1. Check the face shape

Compare the proof with the reference photo. Look at the muzzle, forehead, cheek shape and overall proportions. These structural details do much of the work in making the portrait recognisable.

2. Check the eyes

Eye direction and spacing affect expression enormously. If the main image hides one eye, a second reference can help confirm its shape and colour.

3. Check ears and distinctive features

Floppy ears, one ear that always sits slightly higher, unusual whiskers or a crooked fringe can matter more than perfectly polished symmetry.

4. Check coat markings

Make sure the blaze, socks, patches or facial masks are in the right place. For dark or pale pets, a daylight reference can help.

5. Check the crop for the cushion

Pet pillows are square, so make sure important features are not pushed awkwardly towards an edge. A head-and-shoulders crop often reads more clearly than a very distant full-body image.

6. Check multiple pets separately

If the cushion includes more than one animal, inspect each face and then the group balance. One pet should not look accidentally enormous unless reality genuinely demands it.

7. Zoom out

Artwork that looks detailed at full screen still needs to read at normal sofa distance. Check the overall silhouette and expression after zooming out.

8. Ask for artwork changes before approval
