You do not need a professional photoshoot. A clear phone photo can work beautifully. The better the photo, the more detail our artists can capture in your pet’s final masterpiece.
Use the examples below to see what works best for your portrait.
Eye-level photos work best, especially when your pet is looking naturally towards the camera.
The full head and ears should be visible. No chopped-off ears, whiskers or fluffy bits, please.
Sharp, clear photos give us the best detail. Bright phone photos are absolutely fine.
Natural colours are better than filtered photos, because filters can change fur tones and markings.
Similar angles help. If the costume is front-facing, a front-facing pet photo usually works best.
A front-facing photo suits a front-facing costume. A side-facing photo suits a side-facing costume. Not sure? Send it to us and we’ll bark back with honest advice.
Long ears, fluffy cheeks, whiskers and little wonky details are part of their personality. Try not to crop them out.
You do not need studio lighting. A clear mobile photo in daylight is usually perfect.
Please include a mobile number at checkout so we can send a reminder when your artwork proof is ready. You’ll be able to approve it or request edits before it goes to print.
If you’ve received a request from our team for a clearer photo, upload your new images below and we’ll match them to your order.
