If your phone contains hundreds of pet photos and your walls contain none, a small gallery wall can turn several favourite memories into something more considered than a single oversized print. The useful part is planning the group before purchasing a collection of frames that refuse to cooperate with one another.
Decide whether the display will follow one pet through different ages, show several pets together, or mix portraits with favourite photographs. A simple theme makes different images feel related.

Choose one image or custom portrait to act as the visual anchor. It can be larger than the others or simply the first piece you position when planning the layout.
A gallery wall can include ordinary photographs beside custom pet portraits. Repeating a frame colour, spacing rule or limited palette helps the collection feel deliberate.
Lay the frames on the floor or use paper templates cut to their dimensions. Test the arrangement before making holes. Humans have spent centuries developing measurement systems largely so we do not have to discover a bad layout after drilling it.
The individual gaps do not need to be mathematically identical, but a regular visual rhythm prevents the wall from looking accidental. Leave enough room around the entire group as well.
Choose fixings appropriate to the wall type, frame weight and hanging hardware. Follow product or fixing manufacturer guidance rather than assuming one hook works universally.
If the household is likely to grow, an expandable arrangement can save future rearranging. A grid is tidy but rigid; a looser salon-style layout is easier to extend.
Compare framed portraits with existing photography and use current product dimensions to plan the final arrangement.
